Riverdale, N.Y. – (February 16, 2024) – In the final tune-up for the 2024 Atlantic 10 Championship, select members of the Fordham track & field team took the short trip to Manhattan's Draddy Gymnasium for the Fred Dwyer Invitational.
 
Highlighting the day were a pair of individual event winners, starting in the men's 800 meters, as 
Darren Croke place first in 2:01.69, followed by 
Jack Boerger in eighth (2:10.99) and 
Tadael Mihret in ninth (2:11.36).
 
Boerger and Mihret also took part in the men's mile run with Boerger taking second in 4:31.34 and Mihret in fourth at 4:41.93.
 
On the women's side, 
Caroline Fallona was the lone event winner in the 60-meter dash event, posting a time of 8.15 seconds.
 
Additionally on the track, 
Sophia Crucs was third in the 400 meters at 1:03.27, while 
Kate Meeks grabbed third in the 800 meters in 2:26.70.  
Grace Kenny competed in the mile run, registering a time of 5:4.86, good for fifth.
 
The field events had three Fordham competitor, two of which were in the long jump.  
Skylar Harris placed second with a season-best jump of 17' 9" with 
Ashley Holbrook in tenth at 15' 0".  
Sarah Cooley was the last competitor, finishing third in the shot put with a mark of 38' 5 ½".
 
The Rams will now head to the 2024 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championship, which will be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, February 23-24.
