Newport News, Va. – (May 22, 2023) - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its final set of baseball weekly awards on Monday afternoon with Fordham freshman infielder Daniel Bucciero (Ridgefield, Conn.) earning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors.  This is his first award of the season.
 
In the final week of the regular season, Bucciero batted .471 (8-17) with four runs scored, five walks, three stolen bases, and three RBI.  He also finished the year on a season-best 11-game hitting streak. 
 
He opened the week, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and four walks in an extra-inning affair with Manhattan, and then capped things off, going 4-for-5 with two RBI at Saint Louis on Saturday.
 
Bucciero finished the season as Fordham's team leader in hits (63), triples (3), walks (31), & OB% (.421), while being second on the team in batting average (.317), runs (43), doubles (12), and stolen bases (9).
