Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham softball (26-18, 14-6) returns home to Bahoshy Field to wrap up the regular season against Dayton (18-21, 11-9). However, due to anticipated inclement weather on Saturday, the three-game series has been changed into a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.

Lace Up For Pediatric Cancer
The Rams laced up their cleats in gold against Saint Joseph's, partnering with the Go4theGoal Foundation to raise funds and awareness for children battling cancer in their community. Having a child with cancer is a huge financial burden for many families, and the pandemic has made their individual situations even more dire. Please continue to help us show these kids and their families that they don't have to fight alone by making a donation to our page via the link above or below!

All funds raised will be used to improve the lives of kids battling cancer by providing financial assistance, funding innovative research, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, and granting personal wishes. Please consider making a donation through our page.

Senior Day Ceremony & Title IX Game
This year's Senior Day ceremony – honoring our four true seniors, Julia Martine, Makenzie McGrath, Gigi Speer, and Sarah Taffet, plus our three fifth-years, Kelly Bright, Rachel Hubertus, and Brianna Pinto, whose families were unable to attend last year – will take place after Sunday's doubleheader concludes.

Sunday is also our Title IX games, celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the historic legislation, and honoring all those who came before us to help get us to where we are today.

Dylan Takes the Field with Fordham Softball
WFUV softball broadcaster Dylan Balsamo spent several practices with the Rams, trying to get an inside look of how the team prepares and taking part in several drills. Key word being 'try'. Check out what transpired, plus chats with coach Inouye and Makenzie McGrath.

Last Time Out
Fordham swept St. Bonaventure on the road this past weekend by a combined 23-5 score. Read about Saturday's doubleheader here and Sunday here.

Bailey Enoch Named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week Again
The sophomore's second career weekly accolade after another stellar start on Sunday at St. Bonaventure marks the first time in program history that two pitchers have earned the award multiple times in the same season. Read about her week here.

Series History vs. Dayton
Since joining the Atlantic 10 in 1996, the Rams hold a 30-27 advantage over the Flyers, though nearly all of the wins have come in the past 18 years, with Dayton dominating the early years of the rivalry. The last time the two teams met in the regular season, Fordham took two out of three on home soil back in 2019, though the most recent meeting was at last year's A-10 Championship, with the Flyers defeating the Rams, 7-1, in the second round.

#Dinger Watch
With her fourth-inning solo #oppotaco in game two on Saturday, Rachel Hubertus is now up to 16 home runs on the season, tied for 2nd-most in a season and easily leading the Atlantic 10 by five. She's also 22nd in all of Division I and 21st with 0.36 per game. Hubertus remains solo fifth all-time, recently passing Katie Davis ('06) and Erin Fisher ('10), with 38 for her career. Meanwhile, Julia Martine, with nine, is close behind in third, and Bailey Enoch, with six, sits in a tie for sixth in the A-10. Put together, the Rams are 50th nationally with 1.02 dingers per game.

Speed Kills
Graduate student Brianna Pinto is a perfect 25-for-25 in stolen base attempts this season, fifth-most in a single campaign, and has been caught stealing just ONCE in her five-year career at Fordham, way back in April of her freshman season. She is now up to 85 for her career, 12 more than the previous record set by Krystle Henry in 2007. Unsurprisingly, Pinto leads the Atlantic 10 on the basepaths, by seven, but is also nationally 33rd in total steals and 23rd with 0.61 thefts per contest.

Chiefs of Staff
In the circle, Fordham is tops in the Atlantic 10 in team ERA (2.67), 52nd nationally, and opposite average (.239), second  with seven shutouts, and is second with 235 strikeouts. Freshman Emilee Watkins holds the lowest ERA on the staff, 2.13, across 23 innings with a 2-0 record, but among qualified pitchers in the league, Makenzie McGrath, Devon Miller, and Bailey Enoch sit second, fourth, and ninth in ERA at 2.23, 2.83, and 3.29, respectively. Miller's 99 strikeouts rank sixth in the league, while McGrath's 71 sit 10th, as well.

Last 10
The Rams are 8-2 over their last 10 games, thanks in part to more tremendous pitching (1.00 ERA) and an offense-wide .273/.329/.409 slash line. In the circle, all four pitchers hold an ERA under 2 during this span, with Watkins scoreless in her lone appearance followed by McGrath (0.72) and Enoch (0.79). with marks of 0.88 and 0.94, respectively. Enoch is also leading the offense over this span, slashing .400/.514/.567, with Rachel Hubertus' three home runs providing the power and Michaela Carter hitting .343 with a team-high 10 runs. Sydney Wells has also provided a spark over her five starts and 16 plate appearances, hitting .400 with a home run.

Milestone Watch
Pinto became Fordham softball's all-time stolen base leader with her 74th career steal at home in the series finale against Rhode Island on March 27th. She is now up to 85 during her five seasons in the Bronx. Home runs aside, Hubertus just entered the all-time top-10 for career RBIs, now passing Paige Ortiz ('12) for ninth all-time, with 119. She is also fifth with a .605 slugging percentage.

Devon Miller became the seventh Ram to reach 300 career strikeouts over the weekend, up to 304, and is also solo seventh with 10 career shutouts and 10th with 26 career victories.

Makenzie McGrath Named Pitcher of the Week Again
The senior earned her second weekly league accolade of the season and for her career with three more stellar efforts in the circle for the Rams, allowing no earned runs over 15.1 innings with 15 strikeouts. Read all about it here.

Bailey Enoch Named Pitcher of the Week
The sophomore earned her first career weekly award from the league by allowing just two unearned runs over 12 frames, striking out 10, in the Rams' wins at Hofstra and against Saint Joseph's. This is now the fourth time in program history that three different student-athletes have earned Pitcher of the Week in the same season. Read all about her week here.

Hubertus, Miller Garner A-10 Weekly Awards
Several weeks ago, Hubertus earned her second career weekly accolade from the conference, while Miller picked up her fourth career Pitcher nod. Read about their weekends here.

Up Next
Fordham controls its own destiny for the second seed and a first-round bye, which would mean taking on the winner of the #3 and #6 game on Thursday May 12 at 2:30 p.m. Depending on results, the Rams could also finish third or fourth in the league standings and would then play on Wednesday, May 11 at either noon or 2:30 p.m.
