Newport News, Va. –
Bailey Enoch has been named the Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon. It is the first time in program history that two student-athletes have earned the award twice in the same season –
Makenzie McGrath being the other. This is Enoch's second career weekly league accolade.
Enoch pitched just once this past weekend but it was enough, capping a series sweep at St. Bonaventure with a complete game in which she allowed just two unearned runs and six total baserunners, while matching her career-high of eight strikeouts. The Burlington Township, N.J. native was also fantastic at the plate, too, slashing .444/.583/.889 with at least one hit each game and reaching safely three times in the final two games, totaling four hits, four runs, three walks, three RBIs, two triples, and her second career stolen base.
Over her last three appearances in the circle, two starts, she has a 2-0 record and 0.79 ERA with 18 strikeouts over 17.2 frames. For the season, she's now 6-3 with a 3.29 ERA and four complete games, including a shutout, across 18 appearances and eight starts.
Fordham wraps up the regular season this weekend by hosting Dayton for three games, with both Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's series finale beginning at noon on ESPN+.
