Newport News, Va. – (December 6, 2022) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released the first edition of indoor track & field awards for the 2022-23 season on Tuesday. Among the honorees was Fordham graduate student
Tiffany Hanna (Nassau, Bahamas), who was selected as Women's Co-Field Performer of the Week. She shares the honor with Rhode Island's Megan Wood.
Hanna began her indoor campaign with a bang, breaking the school record in the women's weight throw event at the Youree Garcia-Spence Invitational with a mark of 57' 2 ¾", breaking the previous mark of 51' 11 ½", set by Arianna Washington in 2006. Her mark was also an ECAC Championship qualifying throw.
Additionally, she finished fourth in the shot put event with a distance of 37' ¼" and was given the Maxine Williams Memorial Award, as the meet's Most Outstanding Female Performer.
Hanna and the rest of the Rams will next be in action on January 14
th at the Lions Indoor Invitational, held at the Armory Track & Field Center.
