Randall's Island, N.Y. – (April 10, 2021) – The 2021 Metropolitan Outdoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up on Saturday at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island. Team scoring was not kept as some teams are not fully taking part in the Championship.
On day two, the Fordham women took part in nine events with one event win and four runner-up finishes.
Leading the charge was
Jilli Jones who won the 800-meter run in a person-best time of 2:21.17. Right behind Jones,
Mary Kathryn Underwood was third in 2:22.17 with
Taylor Mascetta in fourth (2:22.67),
Marin Bogulski in fifth (2:23.82),
Abigail Llach in sixth (2:24.15), and
Maeve O'Connor in 12
th (2:27.04).
In the 200-meter dash, four Rams took part with
Kyla Hill earning second place in a season-best time of 25.28 seconds, followed by
Ruby Avila in fifth (25.76),
Michele Daye in eighth (26.87), and
Kaley Bell in tenth (30.29).

Molly Mulvaney was the final individual track runner to compete, placing third in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:12.27.
In relay action, the 4x100 relay team of Daye, Avila, Hill and
Skylar Harris took second in a season-best time of 48.91 seconds, while the 4x400 relay squad of Jones, Underwood, Mascetta, and Bogulski was third in a season-best time of 4:09.65.
Over in the field events, Fordham competed in the discus throw, shot put, triple jump, ad long jump events.
Amanda Gurth placed ninth in both the discus throw (106' 7") and shot put (34' 9 ¾"), while
Casey Metzler was tenth in the shot put (32' 2 ¾").
Jade Dyer-Kennedy then finished second in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 35' 4" and third in the long jump (16' 8 ¾") with Harris being second in the long jump at 16' 10 ½".
The Rams will next be in action on April 16
th at the third edition of the Stockton Invitational, held at G. Larry James Stadium in Galloway, N.J.
