Boston, Mass. – (January 25, 2020) – After day one featured the women, day two of the John Thomas Terrier Classic featured the men at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Massachusetts. The Fordham men's track & field team had an impressive day on Saturday, winning the 4x800 relay event and posting seven IC4A qualifiers.
The Rams' lone event win came in the final event of the day in the 4x800 relay, as
Zalen Nelson,
Arthur Gooden Jr.,
Christopher Strzelinski, and
Jeremiah LaDuca posted a season-best and IC4A qualifying time of 7:41.07.
The relay wasn't the only IC4A qualifier for Gooden, Strzelinski, and Nelson, who all posted individual IC4A qualifiers as well.
In the 500 meters, Gooden finished fourth overall in a season-best and IC4A qualifying time of 1:03.55, while Strzelinski and Nelson both qualified in the 1,000 meters, placing seventh in 2:27.36 and 13
th in 2:28.56, respectively.

Aside from Gooden in the 500,
Antony Misko also recorded an IC4A qualifier, taking 10
th in the event in 1:04.04. LaDuca just missed the individual qualifier in the 500 meters, taking 17
th in 1:05.31.
The final IC4A qualifiers came in the 3,000 meter run, as
Ryan Kutch and
Nicholas Raefski both recorded qualifying times. Kutch was 17
th overall in 8:11.29, while Raefski was 30
th in 8:19.62.
Other top performers on Saturday were
Robert LeFevre, who took 31
st in the 60 meters (7.34) and 78
th in the 200 meters (22.62 – season-best),
Brandon Hall, who was 56
th in the mile run (4:17.27), and
Nikolas Reardon, who was sixth in the triple jump (46' 6 ¼") and 11
th in the high jump (6' 6 ¾").
On top of the men's event on Saturday, the women had their final event of the Terrier Classic, as Bridget Alex, Sarinnagh Budris, Jilli Jones, and Alexandra Thomas placed eighth in the distance medley relay in 12:20.97.
The Rams will now turn their attention to the first Championship of the indoor season, as the team will compete in the Metropolitan Championship on January 30
