Jacksonville, Fla. – (May 24, 2019) – Three members of the Fordham track & field team were selected to compete in the NCAA Track & Field East Regional, held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida this weekend.
Distance runner
Ryan Kutch took part in the 10,000 meter run on Thursday night, while
Laurel Fisher and
Brian Cook were entered in the 3,000 meter steeplechase event on Friday night.
Unfortunately for all three runners, none advanced to the NCAA Championship on June 6
th, but each show well against the top runners from the Eastern half of the country.
Kutch placed 39
th in the 10,000 meters in a time of 31:21.82.
In the steeplechase, Fisher took 47
th in 11:20.73, while Cook was 44
th in 9:29.72.
