Newport News, Va. – (April 9, 2019) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly outdoor track & field weekly awards on Tuesday with Fordham junior
Ryan Kutch (Holtsville, N.Y./St. Anthony's) being named the Men's Track Performer of the Week. This is Kutch's first weekly honor this season.
Kutch continued his superb 2018-19 season at the Colonial Relays this past weekend, helping the men place 17
th in the team standings out of 52 teams. He won the 5,000 meter run in a school record and IC4A qualifying time of 14:04.48. He broke the previous mark of 14:12.2 by Dave Callahan, which was set in 1979.
Kutch, the Atlantic 10 champion for cross country, as well as the conference champion in the indoor 3,000 and 5,000 meter run this year, is next in action this weekend at the 2019 Metropolitan Outdoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by Rutgers University.
