Boston, Mass. – (February 9, 2019) – The Fordham track & field team finished its stay at the 2019 David Hemery Invitational on Saturday with the men's event taking center stage at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
 
Overall, Fordham had one new IC4A qualifier on the day along with four season-best performances.  Sean Sullivan picked up his second IC4A qualifier, running a season-best time of 1:53.94 in the 800 meter run, good for 46^th overall.  He also qualified for the 1000 meter event earlier this season.   He was one of three runners in the 800 meters, joining Arthur Gooden Jr. (1:56.91 – 122^nd) and Jack Keegan (1:57.05 – 127^th).
 
Fordham also had three competitors in the mile run, led by Brandon Hall, who clocked in at 4:20.40 (135^th), followed by Will Whelan in 4:22.28 (157^th) and Christopher Strzelinski in 4:22.47 (162^nd).

 
Aside from those events, the Rams had one runner in the 200, 500, 1000, and 3000 meter events.  In the 200 meter dash, Jared Benn posted a season-best time of 22.39, good for 59^th overall, while Kyle Mack was 21^st in the 500 meters in 1:05.46.  The 1000 meter run saw Jeremiah LaDuca clock in at 2:30.75 for 34^th place with Ryan Kutch bettering his IC4A qualifying time in the 3,000 meter run at 8:07.91, which was a season-best and 15^th overall.
 
The Rams also bettered their IC4A qualifying time in the 4x400 relay, as Mack, Benn, Keegan, and Gooden placed 11^th in 3:18.72.
 
Fordham's final competitor at the Valentine Invitational was Ryan McGraw in the long jump and triple jump events.  McGraw was 19^th in the long jump at 21' ¾" and 34^th in the triple jump at 41' 5".
 
The Rams will now prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be held at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, February 23-24.
