Louisville, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its 2019 Easton All-America Scholar-Athletes and the Fordham softball team placed a program record nine student-athletes on a list of a record 8,161 honorees, including 1,769 in Division I, while the team's overall 3.438 GPA also set a new benchmark for the program. The award goes to players who held a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for the 2018-19 academic year.

Kelly Bright,
Julia Martine,
Brianna Pinto,
Anne Marie Prentiss,
Chelsea Skrepenak,
Gigi Speer,
Jordy Storm, and
Maria Trivelpiece all earned the distinction. Trivelpiece was an honoree all four of her years, Skrepenak earned the award twice, and this is the second straight year for both Bright and Pinto.

Fordham had previously never had more than seven on the list, which occurred in 2015-16. The 2013-14 squad's 3.339 GPA was the previous high for the program. The Rams finished behind Saint Louis (10
th) and Dayton (T47) on the team list and fourth in the number of student-athletes to earn the award.
