Bronx, N.Y. – Renewing the Battle of the Bronx on the diamond in the first of two non-conference doubleheaders this week, Fordham University Softball hosts Manhattan on Wednesday at Bahoshy Field at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
Prior to the start of game one, at 1:45 p.m. the Rams will celebrate Head Coach Melissa Inouye, who earned the 300th victory of her head coaching career in a win over St. Bonaventure back on Mar. 21.
Fordham (15-19, 6-7) took the first game of a three game series at Saint Louis last weekend, after defeating Hofstra at home last Wednesday. Manhattan (9-24, 5-9) won the final game of a three-game set against Quinnipiac last weekend, who the Rams will face in a doubleheader this Saturday.
The Battle of the Bronx goes down for the first time since 2022, and this will be just the second meeting since 2010, with Fordham holding a 17-10 lead in the all-time series. Fordham has dominated recent history, winners of the last seven against their Riverdale rivals, and 14 of the last 15 meetings dating back to 2002.
