Boston, Mass. – (January 26, 2019) – Day two of the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University, proved to be another good one for the Fordham track & field team, as the Rams added five more ECAC/IC4A qualifying times to their ledger, four of which came from the men's team.

The day began with the final women's event of the Terrier Classic, the distance medley relay.  The Fordham Rams kept the momentum going from Friday, as Laurel Fisher, Dominique Valentine, Dana Beggins, and Angelina Grebe placed fourth overall in an ECAC qualifying time of 11:58.86.

The men then took center stage, beginning with the 800 meter run.  Christopher Strzelinski was Fordham's lone runner, posting a season-best time of 1:55.15, which was good for 41st overall.

The 400 meter dash came next, with again only one performer for the Rams, as Arthur Gooden Jr. placed 57th overall in a season-best time of 50.35 seconds.

In the mile run, Brandon Hall and Will Whelan both posted their best time of the season, as Hall ran 4:20.02 (69th) while Whelan went 4:22.37 (77th).

The Rams then ended the night with three straight IC4A qualifying times in the 4x400 relay, the 3,000 meter run, and the 4x800 relay.

First in the 4x400 relay, Benn, Keegan, Mack and Gooden clocked in with an IC4A qualifying time of 3:19.52, placing ninth overall.  Then, it was Ryan Kutch in the 3,000 meter run, as he posted his third IC4A qualifying time of the season with a mark of 8:15.22, which was good for 13th overall.  Finally, it was the 4x800 relay team of LaDuca, Strzelinski, Whelan, and Sullivan, recording the Rams' best finish of the day, taking second in an IC4A qualifying time of 7:45.72.

The Rams will next be in action on Thursday, January 31st as Fordham will host day one of the Metropolitan Championship at the Lombardi Center Fieldhouse.  The Championship then concludes on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
