Stony Brook, N.Y. – The Fordham cross country teams opened the 2017 season at the Stony Brook Season Opener Saturday morning, with the women finishing with a combined score of 41 points good for a second place finish, while the men took third in the 6K.
Fordham junior
Angelina Grebe led the Ram women, finishing third in the 4K with a time of 13:58.53. Also finishing in the top ten were
Abigail Taylor and
Sydney Snow who finished sixth and seventh with times of 14:13.31 and 14:20.26 respectively. Also competing were
Brynna Harum (12
th – 14:31.82) and
Stephanie Leo (13
th – 14:32.67).
Stony Brook finished first (33), followed by Fordham (41), Quinnipiac (62) and Sacred Heart (81).
For the men, Fordham was led by
Thomas Slattery who took second place in the 6K in a time of 18:27.36.
Ryan Kutch placed seventh in 18:37.90. Also competing for the Rams were
Matthew Roma (17
th – 19:18.72),
Fritz Heinrich (19:21.72) and
Louis Santelli (19.22.48).
Stony Brook finished first (19), followed by Quinnipiac (58), Fordham (63) and Sacred Heart (95).

th annual Fordham Fiasco/
Ed Joyce Memorial XC Meet at Van Cortlandt Park. Races begin at 10 a.m.
