Ed Joyce, the former head coach of girl's track and field and cross country at St. Francis High School, enters his fifth season as a member of the Fordham Track and Field Coaching staff.

He works with the horizontal jumpers and the throwers. In the late 1970's and early 1980's, Joyce led the St. Francis girl's track and field and cross country teams to eight city championships.

Following his tenure at St. Francis, Joyce served as the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) Track Commissioner, helping the PSAL to numerous state and national titles.

A 1970 graduate of St. John's University, Joyce was a member of the track and field squads while an undergraduate, winning various Metropolitan Championships. Joyce is a certified USA Track and Field official who currently serves as the track and field coordinator for the Empire State Games. He recently retired as an Assistant Principal with the New York City Board of Education, after serving with the Board of Education for 33 years.
