Jamaica, N.Y. – While some of their teammate were competing at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championships, members of the Fordham men's and women's track and field team traveled into Queens to compete at the 4th Annual Tom Farrell Track and Field Classic.

On the men's side the Rams were best represented in the 1,500 meter run where a trio of Rams posted top 15 finishes with
Patrick Donahue placing seventh in a time of 4:14.06,
Adam Schwenzfeier finished ninth in 4:16.06 and
Matthew Roma took 12
th in 4:20.58.

Other men competing for Fordham included
Patrick Dineen (11
th – 2:00.95),
Peter Strom (20
th – 2:03.63),
Michael Campbell (29
th – 2:08.10) and
Marc Guberti (51
st – 2:18.28) in the 800 meter run.

Freshman
Jeremy Milite had a couple of impressive performances in the field events where he finished seventh in the javelin throw at a distance of 103' 0" and tenth in the long jump with a leap of 15' 10 ½".

On the women's side,
Neve Devine was the top performer, finishing third in the high jump, clearing 5' 1".

On the track,
Emily Silfies was the top performer, taking fifth in the 100 meter hurdles in 16.63 seconds.

Other top performers on the track included
Julia Wiseman (6
th – 2:25.71) in the 800 meter run, Kelsey Coppinger (7
th – 5:15.38) and
Cristina Ulto (11
th – 5:35.02) in the 1,500 meter run, and
Genesis Amancio (16
th – 1:03.69).

The Fordham women also had a strong showing in the field as
Alina Kwiatkowski finished fifth in the triple jump at 33' ½" with
Sarah Gifford following in 10
th place at 30' 5 ½".
Mary Kate Caucci and Silfies had solid performances in the long jump finishing 10
th and 12
th with distances of 15' 10 ½" and 15' 2", respectively.

In relay action, the 4x100 team of Amancio, Caucci, Estrella and Silfies placed fourth in 54.22 seconds.
