The 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship wrapped up competition on Sunday at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia, as the George Mason men and VCU women captured the league's outdoor championships. Fordham finished ninth in the men's competition, while the women were 13
th.
On day two of the championship, the Fordham men scored in three individual events and all three relays.
Louis Santelli led the way as he took bronze in the 800 meter final with a time of 1:51.87.
Jordan Allen just finished off the podium by .01 seconds, as he grabbed fourth in the 200 meter dash final in 21.60 seconds.
Thomas Slattery rounded out the individual scorers, as he took fifth in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:53.39.
Mike Turi and
Quincy O'Connor also competed in the 5,000 meter run, as Turi was 13
th in 15:23.13, while O'Connor had to drop out of the race with an injury.
In relay action, the 4x400 relay (
Jared Benn, Andre Guthrie, Allen,
Michael Campbell) and the 4x800 relay (
Fritz Heinrich,
Brian Cook,
Jonathan Annelli, Santelli) both finished seventh in times of 3:23.89 and 7:48.49, respectively, while the 4x100 relay (
Nicholas Regan, Benn, Guthrie, Allen) was eighth in 44.72 seconds.
The last event with Fordham competitors was the 1,500 meter run, as
Nik O'Brien was the top finisher in 12
th with a time of 3:57.89, followed by Heinrich in 17
th (4:01.28) and McGann in 19
th (4:02.56).

In the women's competition, Fordham only scored in the 4x400 relay, as
Morgan Menzzasalma,
Christina Perrier,
Laura Jaeger, and
Leah Hickey placed sixth in 4:00.20.
The Rams competed in three other events on Sunday, with the best finish coming from the 4x800 relay team of
Shanna Heaney,
Danielle Rowe,
Aidan Moroz, and
Kate McCormack took tenth in 9:24.18.
Josephine Jacob-Dolan was 23
rd overall in the 5,000 meter run in 19:09.75, while the trio of McCormack (4:45.19), Heaney (4:49.07), and
Brynna Harum (4:51.47) placed 15
th, 20
th, and 23
rd overall in the 1,500 meter run respectively.
