Brian Cook and Jonathan Annelli compete at NCAA Regionals

Cook places 35th, Annelli 38th in steeplechase

Jacksonville, Fla. - Fordham University sophomore Brian Cook and graduate student Jonathan Annelli competed in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2016 NCAA East Regional Track and Field Championship on Saturday night at the University of North Florida where Cook placed 35th and Annelli 38th.

Cook finished in a time of 9:05.86 while Annelli was about seven seconds behind him in 9:12.53.
 
Cook entered the meet with the 23rd best 3000m steeplechase time in the East region at 8:52.11, while Annelli had the 33rd top time in the East at 8:55.30. Both runners turned in their times at the IC4A Championships at Princeton where Cook placed third and Annelli seventh.
 
At the Atlantic 10 Championships on May 10, Annelli won the event to take First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in a time of 9:01.62, while Cook earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 with a 9:03.72 clocking.
