Jamaica, N.Y. – While some of their teammate were competing at the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championships, members of the Fordham men's and women's track and field team traveled into Queens to compete at the Second Tom Farrell Track and Field Classic.

The Rams were led by the men's duo of
Jake Duckworth and
Adam Schwenzfeier, who took first and second, respectively, in the 5000 meters. Duckworth won the race in a meet-record time of 15:05.03 with Schwenzfeier three seconds behind him at 15:53.37.

Other men competing for Fordham included
Byrne Cronin, who was eighth in the 800m (2:04.47) and
William Slattery, who placed tenth in the 800m (2:09.88).

In the men's relays, the 4x400 squad of Cronin, Schwenzfeier, Duckworth and Slattery placed second in 3:45.80

On the women's side,
Caitlin Hart was the top performer, taking second in the javelin with a toss of 96' 6" and a fifth place showing in both the hammer (102' 6") and discus (90' 7").

On the track,
Clarissa Cartledge was the top finisher, placing fifth in the 800m in 2:24.60.
Meaghan Roszyk (2:33.95) and
Georgeanne Siller (2:35.97) also competed in the 800m, taking ninth and tenth, respectively.

Other women competing for the Rams included
Julia Champagne (5:20.25) and
Danielle Drummond (5:21.63), who finished seven-eight in the 1500m,
Sarah Gifford, who took seventh in the 400m hurdle (1:14.90),
Jessica Farrell, who was eighth in the long jump (16' 0.5") and 27
th in the 200m (29.60), and
Domenica Lostritto, who placed ninth in the 400m (1:10.81).

In relay action, the 4x400 team of Farrell, Cartledge, Lostritto and Siller placed third in 4:35.35.
