Box Score Richmond, Va. – The Fordham women's tennis team saw its four-game winning streak halted with a 4-0 loss at VCU on Thursday.
The Rams opened the match by dropping the doubles point. Fordham's
Julie Leong and
Estelle Wong defeated Ludivine Burguiere and Alzbeta Veverkova at third doubles, 8-3, but VCU's Salome Kvitashvili and Cindy Chala upended Fordham's
Sarah Ali and Ellie Ball at first doubles, 8-3, and
Bella Genkina and
Anika Novacek fell to Darya Berezhnaya and Ana Batiri at the third position, 8-1.
Fordham then lost the three competed singles matches to fall, 4-0.
The Rams return to action on Monday, April 6, as they host Stony Brook University on the Hawthorn Rooney Courts at 12:00 PM.
