Track & Field Wraps Up Competition at Colonial Relays

Women’s 4x800 Relay Win Event

The Fordham track & field team wrapped up competition at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Virginia, on Saturday, as the Rams competed in 10 relay events.
 
The highlight of the afternoon was the women's 4x800 relay, which won the event in an ECAC qualifying time of 8:58.12.
 
Fordham also scored in the men's distance medley relay event, as the Rams finished fifth overall in a time of 10:05.80.
 
The Rams added four other top 11 finishes on the day.  The women's distance medley relay finished 11th overall in 12:17.92, while the men's 1600 meter sprint medley relay took ninth in 3:52.31.  Then in the 4x1500 relay, the Fordham women were seventh overall in 19:20.12, while the men were sixth in 16:14.08.
 
In the 4x400 relay, Fordham's women's team was 13th overall in 3:57.20, while the men were 18th in 3:26.96.
 
The remaining entries for the Rams were in the men's 4x800 relay (19th – 7:52.96) and the women's 4x200 relay (22nd – 1:48.86).
 
In the team competition, Fordham finished 15th on the women's side out of 40 teams that scored points, while the men were tied for 20th out of 42 squads.
