Mason Invitational Results Members of the Fordham track & field team were in action in two spots on Sunday, as Anisa Arsenault competed in the 10K run at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic, while a group of 13 runners were at the George Mason Invitational in Virginia.
At Bucknell, Arsenault competed in the 10K invitational run, where she posted the best mark of her career. She won the event with a time of 34:54.13, which moved her into the top 50 in the nation, ranking 45
th overall.
At George Mason, Fordham's female duo of Titi Fagade and Kristen Stuart highlighted a good day for the Rams. Fagade scored in the 800 meter run, placing 10
th overall in a season-best time of 2:09.19, while Stuart scored in the 400 meter hurdles events, taking ninth overall in an ECAC qualifying time of 1:01.94.
Other runners in the 800 meter run included Fordham's Melissa Higgins in 21
st place (2:13.30) and Danielle Rowe in 38
th (2:15.46). The Rams also had competitors in the 400 meters and 1,500 meters. Averie Sheppard clocked in 1:00.00 in the 400 meter dash, good for 34
th, while Mara Lieberman (21
st – 4:40.31) and Christina Vivinetto (36
th – 4:47.63) were in the 1,500 meter run.
On the men's side,
David Fajoyomi was the top performer, as he was the top collegiate finisher in the high jump, taking second overall with an IC4A qualifying height of 6' 11 ¾".
Fordham also took part in the 800 and 1,500 meter runs.
Lester Taylor was 22
nd overall in the 800 meter run in 1:52.62, while
Quincy O'Connor led a quartet of runners in the 1,500 meters, placing 35
th in 3:56.65. Mike Belgiovine (38
th – 3:58.49),
Jonathan Annelli (43
rd – 3:58.91), and
Mike Turi (49
th – 4:01.59) rounded out the 1,500 meter runners.
