Fordham senior
David Fajoyomi (Budapest, Hungary/Greater Grace International School) was selected as the Atlantic 10 Men's Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week it was announced on Monday by the league office. It is Fajoyomi's first career weekly honor.
Fajoyomi had an outstanding day on Saturday at the Terrier Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
The Budapest, Hungary native broke the Fordham school record and established an IC4A qualifying time in the 200 meter dash. He clocked in at 21.47 seconds, good for fifth overall, breaking Wayne Seaton's 1989 record of 21.93 seconds. He followed his strong performance in the 200 meters by winning the high jump event with an IC4A qualifying height of 6' 11 ½".
Fajoyomi and the rest of the Rams are back in action on January 30-31 as Fordham competes in the 2013 Metropolitan Indoor Track & Field Championship.
