June 25, 2013 - Bronx, N.Y. - Dates for the 2013 Kevin Leighton Baseball Camp and Kevin Leighton Prospect Camp have been announced. The Prospect Camp, open to graduating seniors and members of the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 classes, will be held on Wednesday, July 17, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The Baseball Camp will be held for three weeks, the first from July 8-13, the second from July 22-26 and the third from July 29-August 2.
The Kevin Leighton Prospect Camp will offer all players quality instruction from Fordham University coaches as well as other college coaches. Prospects will have a great opportunity to showcase their abilities in skill work sessions. Prospects will be placed by position, allowing each player to showcase their baseball skills.
Kevin Leighton Baseball Camps are designed to develop each player's skills by teaching them the fundamentals of the game. Campers will have the opportunity to work with the Fordham University coaching staff, other college and high school coaches, and current college players at a ratio of 10:1 or better. A certified athletic trainer will also be on staff and available while camp is in session. Campers will be placed into age appropriate groups and will work on all facets of the game including hitting, fielding, base-running, and pitching. Detailed instruction will be provided in all aspects of the game; followed by drill stations where campers will have the chance to work on the techniques covered by the coaching staff. This camp is designed for campers to not only learn and improve their skills, but to enjoy and have fun playing the game of baseball.
