May 25, 2013 - Greensboro, N.C. - Fordham's lone competitor at this weekend's NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East Regional finally got into action on the final day in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Junior David Fajoyomi, who missed competing at the IC4A Championship due to injury two weeks ago, took part in the men's high jump competition on Saturday in the final field event of the East Regional. To advance to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon, a competitor had to finish in the top 12 at the Regional.

Fajoyomi began by clearing the initial two heights, 6' 6 3/4" and 6' 8 3/4", on his first attempt at both clearances. At 6' 10 3/4", it took Fajoyomi two chances to advance onto the next height.

However, Fajoyomi's last three attempts were unsuccessful, as he missed twice at 7' 1/4" and once at 7' 1 1/2".

The clearance of 6' 10 3/4" was a season-best mark for Fajoyomi during the outdoor season.
