Bronx, N.Y. - As the 2012-2013 season winds down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 79th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on May 1 to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year.

Among those honored was senior Sean Atkinson (Brooklyn, N.Y./Nazareth Regional) who was named 2012-2013 men's indoor track and field MVP.

Atkinson had a stellar senior campaign, breaking the school record in the 500 meter run and ranking in the top ten nationally in that event. A Second Team All-Atlantic 10 finisher, he was also a part of the First Team All-League 4x400 relay team that broke the longest standing school record on the books, which was originally set in 1939.
