Philadelphia, Pa. - (April 26, 2013) - Members of the Fordham track & field team are down in Philadelphia this weekend at the 2013 Penn Relays, hosted at Franklin Field.

On Thursday, the lone Rams competing were in the 4x400 college heats, where Fordham's group of Nicole Ragucci, Averie Sheppard, Titi Fagade and Kristen Stuart were 34th overall in a time of 3:50.22.

On Friday, Fordham had two individual competitors in addition to the relay action. Sean Collins placed 14th in the 400 hurdles event, clocking in at 52.94 seconds, while David Fajoyomi was fifth in the Eastern Division high jump competition, clearing 6' 9 ¾".

In the relays, the men's 4x400 relay of Sean Atkinson, Collins, Lester Taylor, and Fajoyomi started the day by placing 33rd overall in an IC4A qualifying time of 3:15.30.

Then in the distance medley relay, Fordham's group of Ryan Polo, Atkinson, John Cosgrove, and Kevin Fitzgerald earned third place in a season-best time of 9:48.98.

Fordham concluded the day in both championship sprint medley relay events. In the women's event, Sheppard, Elise Tigani, Ragucci, and Danielle Rowe placed 24th overall in 4:05.66.

Competition at the Penn Relays concludes on Saturday.
