Raleigh Relays Results | Stanford Invite Results

Raleigh, N.C./Palo Alto, Calif. - (March 30, 2013) - For Easter Break, the Fordham track & field team saw action from coast-to-coast with runners taking part in the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina as well as at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, California.

In North Carolina, junior Anisa Arsenault and senior Nick Synan competed in the 10,000 meter run at the Raleigh Relays.

Arsenault took seventh overall in the 10,000 meters in an ECAC qualifying time of 35:05.66. The time was the second-best ever at Fordham, behind only school record holder Lauren Gubicza's time of 33:34.37, set in 1990.

Synan also had a memorable run in the 10,000 meter, but for a slightly different reason. Just two laps into the race, one of Synan's shoes fell off and the senior continued on at a steady pace. Synan would finish the race with only the one shoe and take 21st overall in an amazing IC4A qualifying time of 30:53.18.

In California, senior Kevin Fitzgerald led a small group of runners at the Stanford Invitational. Fitzgerald posted an IC4A qualifying time of 3:50.31 in the 1,500 meters, taking 15th overall.

The 800 meter run had three Fordham entries led by Titi Fagade, as she placed sixth overall in a season-best time of 2:11.02. On the men's side Ryan Polo was the top finisher in the 800 meters, clocking in at 1:52.71, good for 15th place, while John Cosgrove was 16th in a time of 1:54.04.

In the 400 meter hurdles, Sean Atkinson was ninth in the men's event, recording a time of 54.06 seconds, while Kristen Stuart was 11th in the women's event in 1:02.32.

The final Fordham entry at the Stanford Invite was in the men's 4x400 relay, as Atkinson, Fitzgerald, Cosgrove, and Polo finished tenth in 3:17.92.
