Scott was an important cog for the Fordham track & field team from 1988-91, serving as team captain as a senior.

A graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx, Scott was a multiple-time scorer at both the indoor and outdoor Metropolitan Championship and scored at the IC4A championship in the 4x400 relay, serving as the leadoff runner.
