Track & Field Splits Squad at Two Meets

Rams Finish Stay at Raleigh Relays, While Also Competing at Rider 6-Way Invitational

Raleigh, N.C./Lawrenceville, N.J. – (March 28, 2026) – The Fordham track & field team pulled off double duty on Saturday, as the Rams finished up competition at the 2026 Raleigh Relays in North Carolina, while also taking part in the Rider 6-Way Invitational in New Jersey.
 
SATURDAY RALEIGH RELAYS HIGHLIGHTS
  • Sam Freeman was 56th overall in the men's 200-meter dash in 21.87 seconds.
  • Ben Borchers was the top Ram in the men's 800 meters, posting a time of 1:54.31 (127th), followed by Eric Schleif in 1:54.56 (138th) and John Corrigan in 1:54.97 (150th).
  • Kylie Ritz placed 53rd overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.92.
  • In the women's 800 meters, Jodie Pierce ran a season-best time of 2:12.61 (84th), while Brenna Sears clocked in with a personal-best time of 2:14.02 (112th).
  • Alexandra Williams ran 25.27 seconds in the women's 200-meter dash (83rd).
 
SATURDAY RIDER 6-WAY INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Fordham men were fourth out of five teams, scoring 37 points, while the women were fifth out of six teams with 31 points.
  • The Rams had a pair of finishers in the top five in the men's 1,500 meters with Jimmy Hernandez in third (4:03.67) and Matthew Febles in fifth (4:05.72).
  • Nicole Lytle was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.13 seconds, while posting a personal-best time of 26.12 seconds in the 200-meter dash good for eighth overall.
  • George Pomer scored sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.89 seconds.
  • Liam Volz (11.15) and Will Spierdowis (1:58.15) both finished third in their respective events in the 100 meters and 800 meters, while Matthew McCabe was fifth in the 3,000 meters (9:09.86).
  • Kathleen Keefe grabbed fourth in the women's 800 meters in 2:26.21, as did Quincy Biddle in the women's 3,000 meters at 10:28.87.
  • Noah Rubenstein scored in both the shot put (6th – 45' 5 ¼") and discus throw (2nd - 144' 11") events.
  • Michaela Gier posted a fourth place finish in the women's pole vault, clearing 10' 4", while Sarah Cooley was third in the women's javelin throw with a personal-best throw of 115' 9".
  • James Alati grabbed fourth in the men's javelin throw at 169' 3", while Alexandra Manetovic (35' 8 ½") and Tomara Seid (35' 4 ½") were third and fifth respectively in the women's triple jump.

  • The Rams will have a busy upcoming weekend on April 3-4, as Fordham will have participants at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational at George Mason, the 2026 Metropolitan Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Randall's Island, and the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton.
