Women’s Track & Field Finishes Eighth at #A10ITF Championship

Zoe Arakelian Shares A-10 Champion Title in High Jump; Alexandra Williams Takes Bronze in 400 Meters

Virginia Beach, Va. – (February 28, 2026) – The Fordham women's track & field team completed competition at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center Virginia.
 
Fordham finished in eighth place in the team standings with 46.5 points.
 
DAY 2 FORDHAM WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • The remaining 14 women's events concluded on Saturday with the Rams scoring in six of those events and added two podium finishes to their two from Friday.
  • Jodie Pierce started the scoring in the mile run, placing sixth in 4:55.74, while Kylie Ritz was eighth in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.66 seconds.
  • The Rams then hit the podium in the 400-meter dash, as Alexandra Williams took bronze in a season-best time of 55.92 seconds.  She is only the second Ram to medal in the 400 meters at the Atlantic 10 Championship, joining Stephanie Irvin in 2003 (silver).
  • Brenna Sears followed by scoring in the 1,000 meters, placing seventh in 2:57.70.
  • Fordham's final podium finish came from Zoe Arakelian, as she shared the Atlantic 10 title in the high jump with Dayton's Camryn Thompson, clearing a season-best 5' 8", to claim gold and First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors.  Arakelian is the second Ram to win the high jump event at the Atlantic 10 Championship, joining Kerstin Greene (2005).
  • Leia Ruvo also scored in the high jump, tying for fifth at 5' 4 ½".
  • The Rams' last scoring event was the 4x800 relay, where Pierce, Alexis Smith, Sears, and Lauren Raimy placed seventh in a season-best time of 9:16.47.
  • Other top performers on Saturday were Quincy Biddle in the 3,000 meters (23rd – 10:15.31), Tomara Seid in the triple jump (12th – 36' 9 ¾"), and the 4x400 relay of Dillyn Green, Alondra Baez, Leia Ruvo, and Williams (11th – 3:58.65).
