Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham women's tennis senior

Lily Chitambar and
Julianne Nguyen were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Tennis Academic All-District® team, it was announced on Tuesday.
Bergmann, a Finance major, was named the team MVP at the annual Block F Awards Dinner last month. She compiled a 20-5 overall singles record, 11-4 in dual matches, placing second on the team with 20 singles wins. She also tied for team lead with 17 doubles wins, going 14-5 in doubles play in dual match competition.
Chitambar, a Marketing major, was 16-8 in singles play, 7-4 in dual matches, in her first year with the Rams. She tied for third in singles wins on the team. In doubles action, Chitambar was 17-13 in doubles play, tied for third on the team in doubles wins, and was 12-4 at second doubles in dual matches.
Nguyen, a Business Administration major, teamed with
Nevena Kolarevic to win the Atlantic 10 Master's Qualifier doubles title last fall. Individually she compiled an 11-10 singles mark, 3-3 at first singles and 3-3 at second singles in dual match play, Nguyen also had a 17-15 doubles record, 9-8 at first doubles in dual matches.
The Fordham women's tennis team finished the season with a 16-5 record and earned the number one seed at the Atlantic 10 Championship for the first time.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
In order for a Student-Athlete to be eligible, they must have:
- A minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better
- Eligible nominees need to be in the lineup for 70% of matches that include team scores
