Softball Announces 2026 Schedule

The Rams will play a 50-game schedule in 2026, including 19 games at Bahoshy Field

BRONX, N.Y. – Set for a 50-game slate this spring, Head Coach Melissa Inouye announced Thursday the 2026 Fordham University Softball Schedule, which includes 19 games within the friendly confines of the Bahoshy Softball Complex.

Venturing to six different states throughout the season, the longest trip of the season will send the Rams south twice to Georgia and Florida during early season tournament action, along with a trip to San Diego, California as well. The Rams will face four teams that reached the NCAA Regionals last season, including the Georgia Bulldogs on opening weekend, which reached the Super Regionals a season ago.

The non-conference slate for the Maroon and White will feature 26 games against opponents from 13 different conferences, including the SEC, Missouri Valley, Conference USA, WCC, Mountain West, Big 12, Summit, MAAC, BIG EAST, CAA, NEC, and the Patriot and Ivy Leagues. The Rams will also play a 24-game Atlantic 10 schedule.

"We're excited for the 2026 schedule, especially after the growth and potential our team showed this fall," said Coach Inouye. "We've built a challenging preseason slate, traveling to Georgia, California and Florida, and facing four NCAA Regional participants in non-conference play will prepare us well for the competitive A-10 season."

The 2026 season will get underway Feb. 6-8 in SEC Country, playing the opening weekend of the campaign at the Red and Black Showcase, hosted by the University of Georgia, taking on Belmont and the host Bulldogs on opening day. Day two will see the Rams take on Georgia one more time, before a pair of games against Missouri State Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Week two of the campaign will take the Rams across the country to San Diego, Calif. Feb. 13-15 for five games at San Diego State University. The Maroon and White take on Oregon State and North Dakota on day one that Friday, before taking on Baylor and San Diego State on Valentine's Day, and North Dakota on Sunday.

Taking a week off from there, the Rams will return to action on Feb. 27, heading back down South, this time to Miami, Fla. for five games as part of the FIU Classic. The Rams open the weekend against South Dakota and FIU, followed by a game against Harvard to close February, ahead of two more games that afternoon and on Mar. 1.

The 2026 home opener for the Rams will see them take to Bahoshy Field for the first time on Mar. 4 in a single midweek game against Iona. From there, Fordham will open Atlantic 10 play Mar. 7-8 with a three-game set at George Mason in Fairfax, Va.

On Wednesday, Mar. 11 the Rams head to Army for a single game, ahead of a weekend series against Dayton at Bahoshy Field. The Rams will stay at home the following Wednesday for a single game against St. John's on Mar. 18.

Following the brief four-game homestand, the Rams will head to St. Bonaventure, Mar. 21-22, before opening another five-game home stretch with a doubleheader against Army on Mar. 25, and a three-game set against George Washington Mar. 28-29.

Opening the month of April on Long Island, the Rams play Hofstra in a single game Apr. 1, ahead of a trip to St. Louis, Mo. for a three-game set against the Billikens on Easter Weekend, Apr. 3-4. On Apr. 8, the Rams will open a four game non-conference stretch, hosting Manhattan in a single game on Apr. 15, and a doubleheader against Quinnipiac on Apr. 11.

Hitting the road for a single game at Stony Brook on Apr. 15, the Rams will then host Rhode Island in a three-game series, Apr. 18-19, before the final non-conference bout of the regular season, heading to Brooklyn on Apr. 22 to take on LIU.

With two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Rams will host Saint Joseph's for a three-game set on on senior weekend, Apr. 25-26, before the final games of the season send the Maroon and White to the Windy City for three-games against Loyola Chicago, May 2-3.

The top-six teams in the conference standings at seasons end will head to St. Louis, Mo. for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship, May 6-9 with the winner receiving an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
