Bronx, N.Y.  – Following a career performance last week that saw her set a new program single game scoring record, Fordham University women's basketball's Alexis Black was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 18.

Averaging 31.0 points per game over a pair of contests for the Rams, Black shot 19-for-38 from the floor, an even 50% clip, 47.6% from three point range, and 93.3% from the free-throw line, while also averaging 5.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game as well.

Wednesday saw a standout performance for Black, tallying a program record 42 points in double overtime at Seton Hall, becoming just the second Fordham player ever to score 40 points in a game, breaking the program record of 40 set by Jeanine Radice on Dec. 5, 1987 at Drexel. Black's 42 points scored Thursday night was the third highest scoring-game by any player in Division I this season. She then followed with another 20 points in a win over Manhattan Sunday afternoon that also saw her tally seven assists and four rebounds as well.

Leading the nation in free throws made with 47 on the year, Black is second amongst all Division I players with 159 points scored, and averages 22.7 points per game, 12th best in the nation. She also ranks seventh in the country with 22 three pointers made, 32nd in the country in steals with 18, and 42nd in assists with 31.
