MacPhail’s Record Highlight Final Day at Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. – (November 23, 2025) – Competition at the annual Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania has concluded at the Kinney Natatorium with the Fordham Rams taking fourth in the women's team standings, while the men were sixth.
 
WOMEN'S INVITATIONAL

• The Rams finished with a team score of 876.5 points, behind Brown (1,926), Delaware (1,390), and Bucknell (977), while being ahead of Davidson (661), UMBC (597), and Seton Hall (401.5).
• The last day of finals started with the 1650 freestyle, where Campbell Stever scored fifth in 17:06.04, followed by Daisy Mitchell in eighth (17:29.34), Ellen Lange in 15^th (18:10.64), and Logan Binder in 17^th (18:29.06).
• Tera Brilmyer was the lone Ram to score in the 200 backstroke, placing 22^nd in 2:09.23.
• In the 100 freestyle, Saskia Aikman won the "B" final in 50.00 seconds.
• The 200 breaststroke saw the lone winner of the day, as Lexi Lundell placed first in a time of 2:14.42, followed by Karina Kanary in second (2:14.77) and Miranda Bonitatebus in 19^th (2:22.70).
• Hayley Clark scored third overall in the 200 butterfly (2:01.15) with Ella Montgomery in tenth (2:03.02) and Maxine Camillone in 18^th (2:06.26).
• The final event for the women was the 400 freestyle relay that saw Clark, Lundell, Hope Nolan, and Aikman score fourth overall in 3:22.61.

 
MEN'S INVITATIONAL

• The Rams finished with a team score of 585 points, behind Brown (1,809.5), Delaware (1,159), Seton Hall (979), UMBC (954), and Davidson (778), while staying ahead of Bucknell (581.5).
• The day began with Quinn MacPhail breaking the school record in the 1650 freestyle, as he placed fifth in 15:22.75, breaking the previous record of 15:24.66 by Steve Sholdra in 2013.
• John Koebel (22^nd – 16:17.61) and Kevin Yum (24^th – 16:23.17) also scored in the 1650 freestyle.
• Three Rams scored in the 200 backstroke, led by Ben Ohrr in 18^th (1:51.37) with Frankie Sanger in 19^th (1:51.49) and Bryce Wilkens in 23^rd (1:53.27).
• In the 100 freestyle, Daniel Ribeiro placed eighth in 44.47 seconds, while Misha Semenov (16^th – 45.26), Jesse Abramson (20^th – 45.37), and Max Maycher (23^rd – 45.51) also scored for the Rams.
• Ryan Hong was the lone scorer in the 200 breaststroke, taking 15^th in 2:05.51.
• Fordham did not score in the 200 butterfly, as the highest finisher was Ryan Staunch in 27^th at 1:56.67.
• In the three-meter dive, David Vargas finished second with a score of 371.00 with Marco Petit taking 20^th in 184.90.
• The last event of the Invitational was the 400 freestyle relay, as Abramson, Ribeiro, Maycher, and Semenov placed seventh in 2:59.06.
