Washington, D.C. – (January 27, 2026) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its weekly swimming & diving awards on Tuesday with Fordham sweeping all four honors, as
Hayley Clark (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and
David Vargas (Mexico City, Mexico) earned women's and men's Performer of the Week, respectively, while
Ella Montgomery (Lamoine, Maine) and
Quinn MacPhail (Shaker Heights, Ohio) picking up the women's and men's Rookie of the Week awards.
In the team's meet at La Salle, Clark won the 200 butterfly event with a pool record time of 2:01.05, which was also the top time in the Atlantic 10 this season. Additionally, she was second in the 200 IM (2:05.30) and fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.31).
Vargas was once again the top diver for the Rams, winning both events at La Salle. He scored 321.75 in the one-meter dive and 365.25 on the three-meter board. Vargas currently ranks first in the conference in the three-meter dive and second on the one-meter board.
Montgomery won the 100 backstroke at La Salle with a season-best time of 55.75 seconds, good for seventh in the Atlantic 10. She also earned a third place finish in the 100 butterfly in 56.61 seconds.
MacPhail was a dual event winner at La Salle, taking both distance events in 9:19.09 (1000 freestyle) and 4:34.37 (500 freestyle), while taking second in the 200 individual medley in 1:55.00. This season, MacPhail ranks first in the Atlantic 10 in the 1000 and 1650 freestyle, as well as second in the 500 freestyle.
The Rams are back in the pool on Saturday, January 31
st for Senior Day against UMass, beginning at noon.
