Softball Unveils 2025 Schedule

The Rams will host 16 home games amidst the 51-game calendar

NEW YORK – Setting the table for the upcoming season for Fordham University Softball, Head Coach Melissa Inouye unveiled a 51-game slate for the Rams Thursday, who will open the 2025 campaign in early February.

Set to travel to nine different states this upcoming season, Fordham plays in four tournaments down South to start the year, along with hosting 16 home games across 12 dates at the newly re-surfaced Bahoshy Field, beginning with the home opener on Wednesday, Mar. 12.

"We are really looking forward to the 2025 schedule as our team showed a lot of growth and potential this fall," said Coach Inouye. "We continue to challenge ourselves with our preseason scheduling as we will travel to South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. Our non-conference games will help us get ready for the competitive A10 play as we will face six NCAA Regional participants."

Facing six opponents that reached an NCAA Regional last season, the 2025 calendar sees the Rams play teams from 14 different contests including the A-10. With 19 tournament games against 10 different opponents on the non-conference side of the schedule, Fordham will also play six additional midweek non-league games throughout March and April, mixed into the nine-team, 26-game Atlantic 10 slate.

Making the first of two trips to South Carolina to kickoff the 2025 campaign, the Rams take on Virginia Tech and the College of Charleston on Opening Day, Feb. 7, to open the Charleston Invitational. The Rams will take on North Dakota State on Day Two followed by another game against Charleston, before wrapping up with a single game Sunday Feb. 9 against NDSU again.

Week two of the season sends the Maroon and White to Texas for five games at the Bobcat Tournament in San Marcos, Texas, beginning with a doubleheader against Stephen F. Austin and New Mexico on Friday, Feb. 14. Taking on Stephen F. Austin again the following day, the Rams will also take on the hosts Texas State that afternoon, before a single game Sunday morning against St. Thomas.

Venturing back to The Palmetto State for a four-game stretch, the Rams head to Columbia, SC, Feb. 21-23 for the Garnet and Black Invitational hosted by South Carolina. Opening with a single game that Friday against UNLV, Fordham will take on the host Gamecocks the following afternoon, ahead of a second meeting with UNLV, and concluding Sunday morning against Boston University.

The Rams will then have a break from Feb. 24-Mar. 5 when they play their first game of the year in New York, heading over to New Rochelle for a single game with Iona that afternoon.

Fordham's final tournament tune-up features a five-game set in Harrisonburg, Va. Mar. 7-9, for the Lakeside Book Company Tournament at James Madison, opening the weekend with two games against Binghamton and Radford. Fordham will battle the host Dukes the next afternoon, before taking on Radford again, with the tourney coming to a close Sunday against Binghamton once again.

Wednesday, Mar. 12 will mark the 2025 home opener for the Rams, opening a five-game homestand at Bahoshy Field with a single game against Hofstra. That weekend, Fordham opens the A-10 portion of the calendar, with a three-game set against Loyola Chicago Mar. 15-16, before wrapping the homestand on Mar. 19, hosting Clemson in a single game.

Heading to Missouri, Mar. 22-23, the Maroon and White take on Saint Louis that weekend, before returning to The Big Apple for an interborough clash with St. John's on Mar. 26 in Queens.

A weekend set with St. Bonaventure Mar. 29-30 will set up a seven-game stretch of home games that continues with a single game against Stony Brook on Apr. 2, before wrapping up with a three games series with George Mason the following weekend Apr. 5-6.

Closing the year with 11 of their last 15 games on the road, Fordham then heads to Philadelphia Apr. 9 for a midweek doubleheader at Saint Joseph's, before traveling to George Washington that weekend for three games Apr. 12-13.

Serving up the final non-conference games of the regular season on Apr. 16, the Rams will host LIU for a single game, ahead of a trip to Dayton on Easter weekend, playing the Friday and Saturday, with the doubleheader being played on day two.

The final home games of the year come Apr. 26-27, the penultimate week of the regular season, as the Rams host UMass in the final conference bout with the Minutewomen before they join the MAC next season.

Fordham will wrap the 2025 regular season May 3-4 in Rhode Island with a three-game set in the Battle of the Rams before the top six teams in the conference head to Washington, D.C. for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Softball Championship, hosted by George Washington.
