Lewisburg, Pa. – (November 24, 2024) – The Fordham swimming & diving team finished its three-day stay at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The Fordham men finished fourth out of six teams with 1,001 points, while the women were fifth out of seven teams with 858.5 points.
The night of finals began with the 1650 freestyle, where eight total Rams scored.
Emilie Krog was eighth in the women's event in 17:14.37, followed by
Daisy Mitchell in 15
th (17:39.6),
Ellen Lange in 17
th (17:41.67), and
Logan Binder in 24
th (18:15.31). On the men's side,
John Koebel was the top finisher in 14
th place in 16:12.06 with
Aiden Dane in 19
th (16:32.07),
Nathan Rogers in 23
rd (17:23.09), and
Brian Pawlowski in 24
th (17:38.78).
Next was the 200 backstroke where
Leire Martin scored third overall in the women's event in 1:58.57.
Brian Desmond was the top Ram on the men's side, winning the "B" final for ninth place in 1:48.98, followed by
Frankie Sanger winning the "C" final for 17
th in 1:52.48.
Bryce Wilkens also scored 20
th (1:55.62) with
Johnny Heinz in 23
rd (1:58.78).
In the 100 freestyle, Fordham had six men score in the event, led by
Christian Taylor in fourth place at 44.65 seconds, while
Daniel Ribeiro tied for fifth in 44.76 seconds. Alex Shah placed 11
th overall in 45.25 seconds, followed by
Vitalis Onu in 14
th (45.68),
Taz Kanjanakaset in 23
rd (46.18), and
David Topi in 24
th (46.55). For the women,
Zoei Howard had the top time of 52.68 seconds, good for 27
th.
Then in the 200 breaststroke,
Ainhoa Martin grabbed second overall in 2:14.11, while
Emma Shaughnessy won the "B" final for ninth overall in 2:19.20. On the men's side,
Noah Althoff took third in the event in 2:01.06 with
Daniel Langlois in fifth at 2:01.56. Other scorers included
Java Marvarov in 10

The last individual swimming event was the 200 butterfly, where
Jessica Zebrowski scored sixth overall on the women's side in 2:05.02, while
Ryan Davidoff took fifth in the men's event in 1:51.43.
Dylan Champagne was then 12
th in the event at 1:52.40 with
Len Ray in 21
st at 1:55.16.
The lone diving event was the women's three-meter dive, where four divers scored points.
Maia Cacchione scored ninth overall with 223.85 points, followed by
Mya Sharkey in tenth (223.10),
Mya Bokerman in 12
th (221.55), and
Cai Flowers in 16
th (213.80).
Lastly was the 400 freestyle relay, where Fordham finished third in both the men's and women's event. Zebrowski, L. Martin,
Allison Kim, and A. Martin clocked in at 3:24.50, while Taylor, Ribeiro, Shah, and Althoff posted a time of 2:56.85.
The Rams are now on break until January 24
th for a meet at Rutgers.
