BRONX, N.Y. – As the Rams gear up for the 2024 season, the preparations for a run toward the Atlantic-10 Championship have already begun for the Fordham University Softball team which kicked off its fall season at Penn State last weekend. Making their first appearance at Bahoshy Field this Friday, softball will play a five-weekend calendar in September and October with two other appearances at home later this fall.
The Rams opened the year with two games on Sept. 16 at Penn State where they took on the host Nittany Lions and Saint Francis. Fordham softball will make its first appearance of the school year with a doubleheader this Friday, Sept. 22 against Rider at 5:30 p.m.
'We're excited about our fall game schedule as it'll be nice to see the team compete and see what versatility we have with our lineup," said Head Coach Melissa Inouye. "We look forward to seeing the team's growth throughout the fall season."
Following their first home games, the Rams will head up to Connecticut for a clash with a pair of Nutmeg State foes, playing two games at Fairfield against the Stags at 10:30 a.m. and UConn immediately after at 12:45 p.m. The fall slate for Fordham will see them play lone night games on back-to-back Friday nights at Bahoshy Field, hosting Pace on Oct. 6 and Molloy on Oct. 13. On Saturday, Oct. 7th the Rams will host their annual alumni game on campus at 10:00 a.m. prior to the homecoming Football game.
