Princeton, N.J. – (April 14, 2023) – The Fordham track & field team opened its two-day stay at the Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday, hosted at Princeton University.
Day one featured the Rams competing in five events, beginning with the women's long jump, where
Kathryn Kelly finished fourth overall with a distance of 19' 2 ¾", followed by
Skylar Harris in tenth (17' 11 ¾") and
Leia Ruvo in 17
th (17' 2 ¼").
Next was the 1,500-meter run, where the men's event saw
Colin Flood as Fordham's top performer, finishing 31
st overall in 3:50.83.
Nathan Bezuneh was right behind him in 32
nd at 3:50.94 with
Ben Borchers in 38
th (3:54.97) and
Rodolfo Sanchez in 42
nd (3:56.12). In the women's event,
Helen Connolly was the top Ram in 11
th overall at 4:36.92, while
Mary Kathryn Underwood was 16
th (4:41.74) and
Marin Bogulski in 20
th (4:44.15).
The last event for Fordham was the unseeded 5,000-meter runs. Steve Zucca placed tenth overall in the men's event at 14:40.15, while the women's event saw
Caroline McDonagh take ninth overall in 17:41.12 with
Nathania Tan in 18
th at 18:10.73.
The Larry Ellis Invitational concludes on Saturday with events beginning at noon.
