Water Polo To Face #2 Cal in First Round of NCAA Championship

Rams Get Regular Season Re-Match with the Defending National Champion Golden Bears

Bronx, N.Y. – (November 20, 2023) – The NCAA has released the bracket for the 2023 National Collegiate Men's Water Polo Championship and the MAWPC Champion Fordham Rams are in the field for the third consecutive season.
 
The Rams will face #2 seed, the University of California, in the first round of the championship on Friday, December 1st at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
 
It will be a regular season re-match for Fordham, as the Rams played at Cal, the defending national champion, back on October 19th.
 
The 2023 championship will be an eight-team, single-elimination tournament. The first-round games begin with top seed UCLA against Biola in Game 1, followed by fourth seeded Princeton taking on UC Irvine, in Game 2.  The Cal-Fordham match is the third game on December 1st with the day finishing with third seed USC facing San Jose State in Game 4.
 
The championship will take place December 1-3 at Uytengsu Aquatics Center, hosted by the University of Southern California. First round games and the semifinals will be streamed live on NCAA.com, and the national championship game will air live on ESPNU.
