Bridgeport, Pa. – (October 15, 2025) – The MAWPC released its weekly awards on Wednesday with Fordham's
Luca Provenziani (Rome, Italy) receiving Co-Player and Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors, while
Alessandro Salipante (Brindisi, Italy) earned Rookie of the Week accolades. The Rams' duo helped Fordham to a 3-0 weekend with wins over Iona, Navy, and #20 George Washington, improving the team's record to 13-1 overall, 6-0 in the MAWPC.
Provenziani was a big part of the Rams' success this weekend, totaling 12 goals, 12 assists, and five steals in three games. He opened the weekend with four goals, two assists, and two steals in a win over Iona on Friday. He then had three goals, six assists, and two steals against Navy on Saturday, while posting five goals, four assists, and a steal versus #20 George Washington.
Salipante had a breakout weekend for the Rams, notching eight goals, seven assists, and two steals in three contests. After a goal and two assists against Iona, he scored a season-high seven goals to go with an assist and a steal versus Navy. Salipante then finished the weekend by dishing out four assists with a steal versus #20 George Washington.
Provenziani, Salipante, and the rest of the Rams are next in action on Tuesday, October 21
st, when the team begins their west coast trip at Long Beach State.
