Bronx, N.Y. – (November 22, 2025) – Behind a game-high six goals from
Andras Toth, the top-seeded Fordham Rams topped the Wagner Seahawks, 17-9, in the MAWPC Championship semifinals on Saturday at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
With the win, Fordham improved to 24-3 overall and will move on to the MAWPC Championship final for the fifth consecutive year, as the Rams will face George Washington on Sunday at noon with the league automatic berth into the National Collegiate Championship on the line.
THE GAME
- The Rams took the Seahawks by storm in the first quarter, scoring the first five goals of the game in just under four minutes of action. Andras Toth and Luca Silvestri each had two goals in the quarter with Barnabas Eppel having the other.
- Fordham extended the lead to 11-4 by halftime, as Toth and Silvestri each found the net two more times each with Eppel netting his second of the game. Balazs Berenyi also scored the first of his two goals in the contest.
- Wagner had a strong third quarter, posting four goals to Fordham two, to make it a 13-8 score, heading into the final period.
- The Rams closed out the game with a four-goal fourth quarter to just one by the Seahawks for the 17-9 victory.
GAME NOTES
- Toth netted a game-high six goals for Fordham to go with three assists, three steals, and three blocks, while Silvestri had four goals and an assist.
- Eppel and Berenyi each added two goals with the remaining tallies coming from Luca Provenziani, Diego Tresa, and Reid Thorson.
- Provenziani also dished out five assists in the game.
- Matthew Bonello DuPuis made six saves in goal to go with a steal and an assist.

- The Rams will take on third-seeded George Washington for the MAWPC Championship on Sunday at 12:00 PM at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center. Tickets for the game can be purchased at the door for $15. Fordham students, faculty and staff with a valid college ID, and senior citizens 65 and older, will be admitted at discounted prices of $5.
