Watch Marist Meet
Bronx, N.Y. – (October 18, 2023) – Following a season opening sweep of Manhattan, the Fordham swimming & diving team has a busy week on tap with two meets on the schedule. The Rams will host Marist on Thursday evening at 5:00 PM, while heading to Monmouth on Saturday for a noon meet.
Last season, Fordham swept both meets against Marist and Monmouth. In the Monmouth meet, the men topped the Hawks, 146-134, while the women won 183-90. Then at Marist, the Fordham men came back to win, 140-136, on the final race, while the women downed the Red Foxes, 192-89.
Fordham looks to follow up a solid performance against Manhattan, where the men posted a 163-58 victory over the Jaspers , while the women toppled Manhattan, 163-65. Fordham won every event with five Rams capturing the top spot in multiple events.
On the women's side,
Emma Shaughnessy won both breaststroke events, while
Jessica Zebrowski took home both butterfly events.
Leire Martin also grabbed first in two events, placing first in the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley.
For the men,
Wojciech Dutkowiak and
Marco Petit earned multiple event wins for the Rams. Dutkowiak grabbed first in the 100 and 200 freestyle events, with Petit capturing first in both diving events.
