New York, N.Y. – (January 14, 2023) – The Fordham track & field team was back on the track for the first time since early December on Saturday night, competing at the TCNJ Lions Invitational at the Armory Track & Field Center.
The Rams had an excellent posting three event wins at the Invitational to go with 14 other top five finishes.
Kyla Hill led the way by winning the seeded 60-meter dash in a time of 7.62 seconds, while taking second in the 300-meter dash in 40.23 seconds. Then in the unseeded 60-meter dash,
Dillyn Green won that event with a time of 8.05 seconds, while grabbing seventh in the 200-meter dash in 26.01 seconds.
The final event win came from
Mary Kathryn Underwood, who took first in the 600-meter run in 1:37.21, while her teammate
Helen Connolly was third in 1:40.06. Underwood came back later in the meet to run on the top 4x400 relay for the Rams with
Molly Mulvaney,
Alexandra Williams, and
Jilli Jones, which grabbed third in 4:05.39. Mulvaney and Jones also ran earlier in the 500 meters, finishing fifth (1:20.74) and sixth (1:21.05), respectively.

Other top five women's performances came from
Nicole Lytle in the 60-meter hurdles (5
th – 9.40),
Tiffany Hanna in the weight throw (3
rd – 54' 4"),
Jana Rokitta in the high jump (2
nd – 5' 7").
On the men's side,
Kevin Callaghan was the top performer, as he took third in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 50.28 seconds. Later, he joined
Christopher Martinez,
Erik Brown, and
Zalen Nelson on the 4x400 relay, where the Rams took second in 3:22.80. Nelson and Brown also added an individual top five finish earlier in the meet. Nelson was fifth in the mile run at 4:17.66 with Brown taking fifth in the 600-meter run in 1:22.59.
Steven Zucca also had a good night for Fordham, finishing third overall in the 3,000-meter run in 8:32.90.
Other key contributors on the night were
Rodolfo Sanchez, who was fifth in the 800-meter run in 1:57.25, while
Isaiah James ended up fifth in the 500-meter run in 1:08.74.
The Rams are back on the track on Friday, January 20
th, at the Ramapo Season Opener, which will be held at the Armory Track & Field Center.
