Montgomery, N.Y. – (September 17, 2022) – In the team's final tune-up before the Championship part of the schedule begins, the Fordham cross country team finished third in both the men's and women's team competitions at the Jasper Fall XC Invite, hosted at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, N.Y.
The Fordham men were third out of 11 teams with 59 points, trailing only Monmouth (31) and Rider (50) in the team standings.
However, there was no trailing for Fordham's
Steven Zucca, who won the men's 8K race with a time of 24:35.7.
The Rams ended up with five runners in the top 20 finishers, as
Colin Flood (25:49.7) and
Nicholas Grabarz (25:58.0) were 11
th and 12
th, respectively, followed by
Justin Lombardi in 16
th (26:14.3) and
Ben Borchers in 19
th (26:23.2).
Fordham had seven other competitors running on Saturday, led by
Trevor Rinn in 23
rd (26:47.3) and
Darren Croke in 25
th (26:50.8).
Ryan Fahey (29

Nolan Chiles (37

On the women's side, the team finishes were the same as the men with Monmouth (25) in first place, Rider in second (53), and Fordham in third (70).
The Fordham women also had five finishers in the top 20, led by
Alexandra Thomas (22:39.0) and
Caroline McDonagh (22:56.8) who were eighth and ninth, respectively, over the 6K course.
Marin Bogulski came across the line next in 15
th (23:20.6), with
Taylor Mascetta (23:34.8) in 18
th, and
Nathania Tan in 20
th (23:39.6).
The Rams had six other runners on Saturday, which included
