Richmond, Va. – (May 8, 2022) – The 2022 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship wrapped up on Sunday at SportsBackers Stadium in Richmond, Virginia.
Rhode Island won the men's team championship with 184.5 points. George Mason was second at 128 points, followed by Davidson (122), VCU (101.5), Duquesne (69), Massachusetts (57), La Salle (51), Saint Louis (45), Saint Joseph's (43), George Washington (36), Fordham (12), and St. Bonaventure (0).
Fordham scored in three events on Sunday, starting with the 4x100 relay, where
Michael Capone,
Isaiah James,
Manuel Alfonso Guzman, and
Robert LeFevre placed seventh overall in 43.38 seconds.

Then, in the finals of the 800 meters,
Jeremiah LaDuca scored eighth overall in a time of 1:56.23.
LaDuca returned to the track later in the day as a part of the 4x800 relay. The team of
Christopher Strzelinski, LaDuca,
Eric Jacobson, and
Zalen Nelson just missed the podium, as they scored fourth in a time of 7:42.79.
For the remaining events, Fordham competed in the 1,500- and 5,000-meter runs, as well as in the triple jump and discus throw.
In the 1,500 meters,
Daniel Asher placed 15
th overall in 4:04.69, while
Samuel Wilcox finished 31
st in 4:16.98.
Brandon Hall almost scored for the second time in the championship, coming in ninth place in the 5,000 meters in 14:36.72.
Colin Flood followed in 11
th place (14:37.83) with
Steven Zucca in 20
th (14:58.31).
Over on the field side of the championship,
Justin Rhee took 12
th in the triple jump with a distance of 42' 8 ¾", while
Alec Wargo was 16
th in the discus throw at 109' 8".
The Rams will next be in action on May 13-15, as select team members will compete at the 2022 IC4A Championship, held at Zable Stadium in Williamsburg, Virginia.
