Randall's Island, N.Y. – (April 8, 2022) – Day one of the 2022 Metropolitan Championship has wrapped up at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island. Through four events, the Fordham men's track & field team sits tied for fifth place in the team competition.
Fordham scored 11 points on day one, courtesy of the Rams' duo of
Ryan Fahey and
Alec Wargo.
Fahey earned second place in the 10,000-meter run, as he clocked in at 33:40.40.
In the field events, Wargo scored sixth in the javelin throw, posting a mark of 132' 4", while taking 15
th overall in the hammer throw event with a distance of 116' 7 ½"
Day two of the Metropolitan Championship begins at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
