Philadelphia, Pa. – (April 30, 2022) – The Fordham track & field team wrapped up its stay at the 2022 Penn Relays with season-best performances in all four events they competed in on Saturday afternoon.
The day began with the finals of women's college 4x100 relay, where Fordham's team of
Sarah Galvin,
Kathryn Kelly,
Dominique Valentine, and
Kyla Hill finished eighth in a season-best time of 47.10 seconds.
Next up were the women's and men's college 4x800 relay events. First, it was Fordham's group of
Helen Connolly,
Mary Kathryn Underwood,
Bridget Alex, and
Jilli Jones placing 11
th in the women's event in a season-best time of 9:15.64. Then, the men's team of
Jeremiah LaDuca,
Eric Jacobson,
Christopher Strzelinski, and
Zalen Nelson finished sixth overall in a season-best time of 7:29.85.
The last event of the day for Fordham was the final of the men's college 4x400 Eastern region. The Rams once again had a season-best performance, as the team of
Antony Misko,
Erik Brown,
Patrick Tuohy, and
Isaiah James, placed fourth in 3:16.54.
The Rams will now get ready for the 2022 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Trak & Field Championship, May 7-8, at SportsBacker Stadium in Richmond, Virginia.
