Fairfax, Va. – (February 26, 2022) – The Fordham men's track & field team concluded competition at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championship on Sunday at the George Mason Fieldhouse in Fairfax, Virginia, finishing ninth in the team competition.
Rhode Island won the team championship with 199 points, with Davidson in second (114), George Mason in third (111), and VCU in fourth (103). Saint Joseph's took fifth with 68 points, followed by La Salle (57), Saint Louis (55), Massachusetts (42), Fordham (28), and St. Bonaventure (0).
Fordham saw three medal performances on day two, led by
Jeremiah LaDuca, who earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in the 800 meters, finishing second in 1:56.59.
Zalen Nelson added to the medal count in the 1000 meters, taking bronze with a time of 2:27.38, while teammate
Patrick Tuohy scored eighth at 2:35.13.

LaDuca and Nelson then joined
Eric Jacobson and
Erik Brown on the Rams' 4x800 relay team to take Fordham's final medal of the championship. The group took bronze in a season-best time of 7:45.67.
The Rams scored in three other events on day two, beginning with
Antony Misko placing sixth in the 500 meters in a time of 1:05.80.
Andrew Ramsammy then scored eighth in the high jump, clearing 6' ¾". The final scorer for the Rams was the 4x400 relay, where
Isaiah James, Tuohy, Misko, and
Samuel Wilcox finished seventh in 3:30.61.
In the other three events that took place on Sunday,
Justin Rhee placed tenth in the triple jump with a mark of 42' 11", while
Daniel Asher (4:19.62) and
Rodolfo Sanchez (4:27.90) were 11
th and 19
th in the mile run, respectively.
The final event was the 3,000 meters, where
Brandon Hall just missed scoring with a ninth-place finish in 8:31.39, followed by
Colin Flood in 17
th (8:36.36),
Nathan Bezuneh in 23
rd (8:54.18), and Sanchez in 27
th (9:11.92).
The Rams will now prepare for the ECAC/IC4A Championship, which will take place, March 5-6 in Boston, Massachusetts.
